1. 4 Steps To Success!

In today's 3rd news item you'll learn about a very popular
company closing its virtual doors.
It is so hard to understand why this has to happen when so
many others are doing so well online.
My own business continues to get better each and every day,
yet others are either stuck in one place or moving backwards
in their efforts.
Why is that?
What makes one company successful, when others fail?
Is there really some *great mystery* that only a select few
are privileged enough to have access to?
Personally I don't believe so...I think people just don't
put forth the effort to study what others are doing, and
follow the steps that have made them so successful.
I have a number of people online that I pay *very* close
attention to. My only regret is that I wish I would have
started this sooner.
I spent a great deal of time trying to find the next "Big
Secret!" or the next "Great Mystery" to instant riches.
Yep, I admit it. I've done the same things and made the
same stupid mistakes as most others have.
But now that I've "Seen the light," I find it so hard to
believe that everyone isn't doing this.
When you see someone that is successful, and getting more
successful by the day, don't shrug it off and say that
they are only getting more successful because of their
current success.
What about all the time and effort they put into making
it from being a "nobody" to being "successful"?
Doesn't that count for anything?
Of course it does, so don't discount any information they
pass on detailing how they made that transition.
I have several people that I've been "coaching" over the
past few weeks.
Yesterday I mentioned to two of them that there is a great
new ebook that I'm offering by Corey Rudl titled: "How to
Create a Fortune on the Internet in Just Four Simple Steps."
The first person went to the site, read through everything,
and within an hour bought it.
The second person gave me a story that he already knew
who Corey was and how he made his success online.
Huh?!
Wait a minute...if you already know what he did to achieve
his unbelievable success online, *why* are you having to
come to *me* for advice?
How can someone simply dismiss this without even looking
at it?
As I said, I have a list of people that I follow *very*
closely, and I try to read *everything* they put out.
One exception is Marlon Sanders' new $1,500 product, which
I just can't afford, but other than that I do my best to
keep up with them.
I study what they say, how they say it, and most importantly
*how* they actually implement it.
What I mean is, I read between the lines and don't just take
their words at face value.
If they praise a particular sales method, I visit their sites
and see if they *actually use* that method.
If they recommend following specific guidelines with your
after-sales followups, I purchase their product and see if
they really do the same things.
I learn much more from this than *any* other method I use.
And you should do the same.

2. Did you get a 'Yahoo! boost'?

If you have a decent listing in Google you should be
seeing a nice boost in your Yahoo! traffic.
They are now combining their directory search results
with the "Web Page Matches." Searchers used to be
presented first with results from the Yahoo! directory,
then after that they would see the "Web Page Matches"
results.
Now they are combined, so if you have a good listing in
Google, you now have a good listing in Yahoo!.
This is very good news, and if you've ever wondered if
you should worry about Google, this makes it quite
obvious.

3. The end of WZ.com
=====================
I received a rather shocking email yesterday from Audri
Landord of WZ.com.
In it she tells of their intentions to close down WZ.com
Inc.
She says: "There are a number of reasons for this decision,
including economic factors, changes in market conditions
and financial considerations."
Audri also adds: "Therefore, our intention is to pay you
the affiliate commissions you have earned on all sales made
through the end of October 2002."
In my opinion it is a sad event when a company as well-
known and liked as they are has to go under.
I know it is a tough economy, but people online are making
it and making it very well each and every day.
Anyway, they are also going to sell off their assets, if
you are interested:
"Further, we will most likely be selling our various WZ.com
assets, such as our ebooks, ezines, and other programs. If
you'd like us to send you info about the products we'll be
selling, please send an email to special@wz.com with
"Please send me asset info -- Affiliate" in the subject
field."
